Uku is a tight-knit group of marketers, designers, developers, and strategists who build long-term relationships with their clients. They approached us to design them a website that reflects their company ethos and shows off their digital marketing prowess.
We decided to use quirky illustrations to mirror Uku’s friendly vibe. Their beautifully written copy does a great job of introducing their digital marketing services. The illustrations and copy come together seamlessly on the website.
Creating an illustrated website for our digital marketing agency partners
Uku specialises in the digital realm. They work to strengthen their clients’ online presence through extraordinary content. In fact, Uku has some serious skill when it comes to all things “digital marketing”; that’s why we partner with them for all our content marketing needs!
Because we already had a close working relationship with Uku before this website design project started, we had a good idea of the type of site they were looking for. Our goal was to present them as a digital marketing agency that is customer-focused, thoughtful, effective and playful. We did this by creating a website with friendly iconography and light-hearted illustrations.
Using extraordinary website content to strengthen Uku’s online presence
The copywriters over at Uku are phenomenal! They provided us with some high-quality copy to work with for their site. From there, we took the reins. First we decided where each piece of beautifully written content should appear on the website. Then we fleshed out the design to work seamlessly with the copy.
The design is rich in illustration and hand-drawn iconography that ties in well with the website text. The colour palette is distinctive, so works with the illustrations to give the website a unique look. Once the website design was ready, Uku’s in-house developers got to work building the website. Our two teams collaborated closely throughout the project, and as always, we absolutely loved working with the Uku team!
