These apps are downloaded from the App Store or the Google Play Store and can only be used on certain devices. Web apps, on the other hand, are designed to be accessed through an internet browser, meaning you can use them on any mobile, tablet, or desktop device as long as it has a browser installed.   • Native apps are the apps you find on the Google Play Store, or on Apple's App Store. They are built specifically for certain operating systems, like Android, or iOS. Progressive Web Apps (or PWAs), on the other hand, are device-agnostic. This means that they work on any device, no matter the operating system. Instead of being downloaded from an app store, a PWA is accessed through the browser and can be downloaded to a device from there. A web app is similar to a PWA, but it doesn’t include all the nifty features a PWA has. For example, web apps need an internet connection to work, and can only be accessed in the browser.   • This ultimately depends on your requirements, but a web app, or PWA, is generally more cost-effective than a native app. With a native app, you also have to consider the app store fees.

  • A wireframe is a simple blueprint outlining the structure of your app. It displays where certain design elements and functional features will be positioned on the pages of your app. Wireframes don’t focus on visual appeal; they focus on how the app will work.   • To build a successful app, you need to invest in both UX and UI design. You can think of UX design as how your app works, and UI design as how it looks. Without the correct balance between user experience and user interface design, your app will not live up to its full potential.
